Our favorite park recently received a donation of seven acres of property directly across from our street and someone in our neighborhood got the ball rolling on the Henderson Park Community Garden. Our county has a program where they provide support for folks who want to start a garden in their area. The county put in a water line and is going to put up a fence once all the other work is done. There are 52 plots and the work is coming along well. We were one of the first to get our box planted....
The kids love to walk over and help out - and play on the piles of mulch to be spread along all the paths....
